You Will Laugh Again

Hang on in the season.

Maybe you’re finding it hard to embrace your journey right now because your season is incredibly hard. Maybe it’s the hardest season you’ve ever experienced.

Although I have not been in your exact shoes, I’ve been in very hard seasons. There were seasons I really honestly thought I would never laugh again. I was not sure I could smile about anything because nothing seemed good and everything seemed bad.

It was during this season I had to start forcing myself to find the blessings and things I can be grateful for. One thing I begin to realize is seasons don’t last forever, and even if we have a season that we do not make it through and our life here on earth ends, if we know Jesus, the best season ever is where we will be.

We’re not promised an easy life on earth, in fact we are warned there will be trouble, and hardship, and pain, and sickness, which is why we have to hold tight to the joy we have in Jesus. I’m not talking about happy, I’m talking about joy. Joy is a peace that you know this is not your home and one day you will no longer hurt or grieve or cry.

You’re no longer going to do these things because we serve a God who sent His One and only Son to take on every single sin we commit, and others commit, so we can have an amazing eternal life in heaven. God loves you that much!

Maybe nobody else has ever loved you unconditionally, but God does, and if you let Him He will give you the peace that passes all understanding. Lately, when I find myself laughing, I have to thank God because I never thought it would happen again, and I enjoy the sound.

Even if it’s just laughing at my hilarious, crazy cat zooming around the house like a maniac. God has shown me how to continue on in this hard life. I want to promise you today something I know I can promise if you know Jesus, you will laugh again. It may be here on earth, but it will definitely be in heaven.

Hang on my dear friends and trust your season will change.

“For everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time [a]to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.”

  1. Indeed you will laugh again and it will be richer, wiser, lighter and more powerful than the laughter of yore. For in the death of healing the spiritus man and woman are reborn free of the inculcations of mammon. Great post and share implicitly thought provoking and balm for the heart of all souls, thank you warmly ❤️🙏
